Backstory: Customer data from a telecom organization analyzed and visualized as part of practising my analytics and visualisation skills.
Tools Used:
Microsoft Excel ( Cleaning and Analysis)
Microsoft Powerpoint (Visualisation)
Duration: Took about a week as I was doing this whilst working an 8-5 and Creative people will understand that it takes foreverrrrr to settle on a design.
Year : 2021
These were my instructions for the case study
Let's dive into the visuals
I intended for this first slide to summarise everything. I wanted a viewer to see this and know what the data was saying in the first few minutes of looking at this.
So I made use of these two colours that I felt were well-contrasting. Also, included bold numbers cossssss we're talking numbers here right?
Went for something pretty simple and straight to the point here - well aligned boxes with demographics. Easy to view and understand.
I think this is my favorite visual :-) . This clearly shows the top 10 churn reasons and highlights the top 3 with a different colour. It also displays the percentage share in total churn rate for each churn reason. The alternating rise and fall also show the trend.
I used this circle to represent the full year and highlighted half of it to represent half a year. The visual clearly shows the top 5 churn reason for customers who stayed on the network for less than a year.
I used this circle to represent the full year and highlighted all of it to represent the entire year. The visual clearly shows the top 5 churn reason for customers who stayed on the network for a year and over
This slide delved deeper into Senior Citizens and the top 5 churn reasons for which they left the network. It gives insight about this particular demographic group the one most common reason for which they churned.
These were my recommendations per my findings from the data.
Comments:
I understand that there were so many parts of this data that went untouched because I was trying to strictly go by the instructions. In the end, I learnt that the instructions were only a guide, something to stand on and shine.
It has been over a year since I worked on this. Between then and now, I have taken some time to take lessons in Power Bi and can't wait to see what I come up with using the same data!
Amazing
Awesome stuff 💪🏾💪🏾
Super proud of you !!
